“Most people, even though they don’t know it, are asleep. They’re born asleep, they live asleep, they marry in their sleep, they breed children in their sleep and then they die without ever waking up.

They live mechanical lives, mechanical thoughts – generally somebody else’s – mechanical emotions, mechanical actions and mechanical reactions. They never really get to understand the loveliness and the beauty of this thing that we call human existence.” Anthony de Mello, S.J., From, Awareness: Conversations with the Masters.

Awakening is different for everyone…

But it usually begins when we understand – we cannot find happiness externally.

We ARE happiness.

We are not our mind. We are not our thoughts. We are not our body. We are not our imagination.

We are OUR SELF, awareness.

Our true self is awareness and our true nature IS happiness.

Happiness is not something you can find externally.

We ARE happiness.

Our mind, specifically our beliefs, attachments, thoughts, stories and imagination… is what creates negativity and unhappiness.

The mind is powerful.

And something, myself, have struggled with for many years.

Fear, worry, stress, thoughts, negativity, unhappiness, depression, anxiety, fatigue.

“Every person who has ever lived or is currently still living has been driven by the same singular purpose – the desire for happiness.”

That is known as, the pursuit of happiness.

“Everything we do, everything we don’t do, everything we strive for, design, plot against, live for, wish for, and dream of is because we think we will be happier from the having or not having of it.

“Wanting happiness is the single motivating factor behind every decision each person makes – and it’s estimated we make 35,000 decisions a day!”

We are, after all, a product of every single decision we have made to this date.

“Yet, all of the plotting, planning, actions, sweat, tears, and decision-making is not taking us any closer to the happiness we vainly seek in this world.

All along, the happiness we seek has been right here within us.” –

(Some of the above teachings, as well as, the direct quotes are also from the book The Greatest Secret by Rhonda Byrne. A book I would highly recommend)

The progress pictures on this page are of Leanne.

Leanne, has been discovering the above along her transformation journey.

She has followed my training and teaching solidly for a little over 2 years.

She’s down 60+lb⬇️

But this is not about weight loss.

This is about smashing her targets and COMPLETING her transformation journey from where she was and how she used to feel – to FINISHING, finding happiness, loving her body and living her ideal, best, life.

We consider the journey COMPLETE when one moves from the beginning, which we mark as “A” their feelings, their pains, their sufferings, their prison…..

…. Throughout the journey which we mark as “B” through to “Y”

Until that person finally arrives at their targeted destination, which we mark as “Z”. “Z” is, the paradise. The ultimate target of your DREAM LIFE inside your dream body and mind – with ultimate happiness and love.

On the journey from “A” to “Z” it is the changes, transformations and lessons learnt from “B” to “Y” that is important. The journey varies and differs for everyone.

Getting to “Z” is what is called becoming A FINISHER!

Not getting to “D” or “N” and QUITTING. Giving up! Accepting mediocrity. Justifying average. Becoming SATISFIED and COMFORTABLE before FINISHING!

In the words of C.T Fletcher…. “FU*K AVERAGE and FU*K SATISFACTION!”

Out of every 100 people that start their journey, 90 people don’t even manage 2 weeks, maybe 1 or 2 will manage a full year. ZERO complete their targets… Ninety nine percent (99%) of people will quit before ever achieving their targets in their whole entire LIFE!

Leanne has these images posted on her Instagram page along with the dates each image was taken and other images of her training in my gym in Blaydon

On her account you can witness the journey she has gone through. The work, the commitment, the graft, the discipline, the sacrifice, the effort.

I think it’s important to note – I believe we live in a weak society where we fail to celebrate other people winning.

We fail to celebrate other people’s successes or accomplishments.

Yet, we demonise or criticise other people for working, completing and achieving the very things we want to achieve our self.

So much is wrong with the world and society right now, but I think, coming together, apologising, uniting and showing support and encouragement to each other for our wins, achievements and successes will go a long way throughout 2021.

That is the kind of community and atmosphere I try to maintain in my gym.

Finally, I think it’s important to note…. Leanne has managed to achieve all this while going through absolute HELL in her personal life.

Congratulations & Well Done Leanne 🙂

P.S – The gyms may be closed currently. But we can still help if you’re ready to begin!
